Board and Train- £100 Day

Our board & train are customised to suit the unique needs of both the dog and its owner.

Our board & train programs aim to provide your dog with an optimal beginning to their training journey. Our professional and dedicated team offers constant monitoring, care, and training, ensuring your dog experiences around-the-clock attention that mirrors their daily life. We avoid kennel services for our residential guests, as we believe this may create an artificial environment that hinders the learning process. Owners receive regular updates on their dog's progress, offering essential peace of mind about their dog's well-being in our capable hands.

 

Board &  train provides a prompt, effective, and ethical resolution to your dog's behavioural challenges. The condensed format accommodates individuals with time constraints. Ideal for dogs dealing with aggression, fearfulness, anxiety, or reactivity, this program requires expertise to achieve lasting and impactful results.

OBEDIENCE

COURSE DURATION:6 -12 Wks
Obedience training is essential for a strong bond with your dog. Our expert trainers teach reliable commands and positive behaviors using reward-based methods and gentle guidance, creating a confident, well-mannered companion. Enjoy stress-free outings with a dog that listens and responds well.

TRAINING-

  • Sit/Down: Teaching your dog to sit is essential for good behaviour, promoting calmness and control to manage their impulses.

  • Loose Lead Walking: This training helps your dog walk beside you without pulling, making walks more enjoyable for both.

  • Leash Manners: Good leash manners mean your dog responds to cues and behaves calmly, ensuring safety and enjoyable outings.

  • Going and Staying on Their Bed: This exercise teaches your dog to go to their resting spot on command, promoting security and relaxation at home.

  • Controlled Relaxation: Teaching your dog to relax on command enhances their ability to settle and improves behaviour and adaptability.

  • Recall (upgrade): Reliable recall is essential for your dog's safety, ensuring they return when called, especially in open areas.

  • Walking to Heel Off Lead: This training strengthens your dog's off-lead recall, boosting their freedom while keeping them safe.

  • Socialisation with New Environments (Cafes and Vets): Exposing your dog to various settings helps them become well-adjusted and reduces fear and anxiety around new places and people.

  • Social Skills in House and on Lead: This training fosters polite behavior with dogs and people, ensuring appropriate conduct at home and in public.

  • Learning to Play: Teaching your dog to play appropriately fosters a healthy bond and promotes essential physical and mental stimulation.

E-COLLAR & RECALL

COURSE DURATION: 3-4 Wks
E-collar training, when done right, is an effective way to improve recall and obedience in distracting situations. This program provides you with a new E-collar to take home.

TRAINING-

  • Gradual Introduction: Training begins with few distractions, increasing to high-stimulation settings.

  • Off-Leash Control: Master skills around other dogs, animals, and busy places.

  • Safety First: Minimise road accidents, livestock chases, and public disturbances.

  • Behavioural Help: E-collars can correct nuisance behaviours such as excessive barking and destruction.

  • 1:1 Training Sessions: 3 sessions during the board and train, and 1 follow-up within 7 days of pickup.

AGGRESSION / REACTIVITY

COURSE DURATION: 12-24 Wks
Reactive behaviour can make walks stressful. Our trainers address these issues at the root, exposing your dog to controlled social settings.

TRAINING-

  • Daily Canine Exposure: Socialisation with diverse breeds, ages, and sizes.

  • Real-Life Scenario Training: Busy streets, parks, and environments.

  • Equipment Education: Master handling tools effectively.

  • Muzzle Training: Positive muzzle association.

 FAQs

  • If your dog has undergone residential training without success, we understand various factors could be at play. Whether it's insufficient environmental exposure, inadequate proofing, or post-course training, we address these concerns. Our approach involves off-site experiences for dogs, supplemented by an owner education package, including access to our online training guide. This comprehensive support ensures owners feel confident in maintaining control.

  • The learning outcomes for your dog during their stay depend on the duration and specific issues they are facing. Every dog will be instructed in fundamental leash and house manners, along with confidence and motivation building. If relevant, we also focus on teaching a reliable sit, a dependable place, recall, wait, and stay commands.

  •  No. In all our years of training, no dog has ever forgotten his owners. They may not realise their owners are in the room right away, during midway lessons for example, but once they see/smell them they are always happy to see them.

  • We provide a choice between a 3-session follow-up program spanning 6 weeks or a condensed handover weekend, accommodating those traveling from a distance. Additionally, we offer discounted refresher stays for dogs that have completed residential programs, providing owners the opportunity to enhance their dogs' training or ensure peace of mind during holiday absences.

  • We guarantee we’ll do our job, and we guarantee your dog will be trained. But we can’t control you and we can’t make you follow-through once the dog is home. Ninety-nine percent of our clients do an amazing job with their dogs once their dogs are home. They follow-through, they ask questions if they have them, and they see great success.

    Every once in a while, we have clients who think their dog is a robot and will obey commands regardless of inconsistency or lack of follow-through on their part. Dogs aren’t robots and they aren’t perfect. We are doing the hard work. All we ask is that you maintain it. And we give you specific, customised, written and verbal instructions to help you do so!
